Oh Christmas Tree!!!
Это просто неисчерпаемая тема. В начальной школе можно украшать ёлочку и повторять цвета, раскладывать подарки подёлку и описывать какие они...

Помнится, мы читали про Эдгара Алана По. Учитель может сам что-то несложное рассказать. Вот идеи -
Эдгар Алан По - американский писатель, поэт, прозаик, критик, редактор.
Один из первых профессиональных писателей США, кто жил исключительно литературным трудом. По собственному признанию, самый несчастный из детей, По родился в семье бедного актера и вскоре потерял родителей. В возрасте 9-ти лет был взят на воспитание преуспевающим предпринимателем АЛАНОМ, который с одной стороны дал парнишке прекрасное образование, отправив Эдгара на учебу в Англию, а с другой, именно Алан, по возвращению, приучил молодого человека к крепким напиткам.
По издал первый сборник стихов собственного сочинения, когда ему едва стукнуло 18. Лишь в 32 года По стал писать рациональные и логичные детективные рассказы, правдоподобно разрабатывать неправдоподобные сюжеты страшных новелл (своего конька) и стал тем По, которого знают и любят во всем мире. Изысканно-тонкий лирик, главный образ-понятие его поэзии - сновидение, греза, мечта (все то, что объемлет многозначное английское слово "dream").
Среди его наиболее знаменитых стихотворений - "Спящая", "Ворон", "Улалюм", "Эннабел Ли", "Колокола". Э.По - прославленный мастер новеллы, создатель детективного жанра в мировой литературе (трилогия "Убийство на улице Морг", "Тайна Мари Роже", "Похищенное письмо" (1841-1843), объединенная фигурой гениального сыщика-любителя Огюста Дюпена, предтечи Шерлока Холмса, Пуаро, патера Брауна).

Можно намагничивать первые буквы на доску, потом придумывать с ними слова - прилагательные, к примеру. Или поиграть в игру - составить как можно больше слов из букв SANTACLAUS. Дается всего 2 минуты. Дети очень любят.
